Focus: Full 6 Degrees of Freedom Control in VTOL!
This update brings a major milestone — VTOL flight now fully supports all 6 degrees of freedom!
You can now truly feel the aircraft’s behavior in every axis — pitch, roll, yaw.
To make this possible, the Euler angle calculations were replaced with quaternions, fixing the long-standing gimbal lock issue in JSBSim.
Improvements
- Camera Lock Toggle – Middle mouse button now resets the view behind the Scarab and locks the camera there.
Any mouse movement breaks the lock and lets you freely control the view again. - Build Version Display – The current build version is now visible on the HUD.
- Help Window – Press F1 or H anytime to open the in-game help overlay.
